About My Design Works
Ravi is one of the better UX designers I’ve had the pleasure of working with.
He’s come up with some very creative and intuitive solutions for navigation and layout, both through mobile and web design.
I’ve always appreciated him thinking outside of the box on how to step things up from a user experience standpoint, and would absolutely give a thumbs up from my side as he jumps into future design endeavors.
Thanks for all you do, Ravi!
Ravi is a creative designer who obsessively empathizes with the user. He is also highly technical, curious, take ownership, and collaborative.
I worked with Ravi for almost a year at Groupon in the GrouponConnect platform where design solutions were necessary for diverse needs from partner facing, to merchant facing, and to internal user-facing tools.
I really liked how curious Ravi was and how collaborative with the other team members and also when he asked to bring in engineering or the customers to hear their views directly.
He always tried to understand the technical complexity behind every feature as well as the entire user problem and process. He took the initiative to set up meetings with the relevant folks and proactively came up with potential solution options and the relevant tradeoffs for both the customers and the engineering teams.
I really like our design iterations where we worked in an agile fashion by improving on the design. At times, Ravi also proactively brought new ideas to the table some of which were eventually implemented.
I believe that Ravi would be a strong addition to any team, especially for technical products.
Ravi was our assigned Designer on the Vendor portal for Groupon Goods when he was at Cognizant.
I got a chance to work closely with him for over 6 months across a number of initiatives. Throughout my interactions, I would find him centered around the end customers (vendors and sellers in our case) through his line of questioning around the use cases.
He would be thoughtful about various nuances of workflows and would be sure to present a few different alternatives with supported rationale for each of them.
At the same time, I found him collaborative and open to my ideas which would lead to several discussions with the goal to design the best experience that took all considerations into account.
He’s organized and would use Invision for ideation and discussion with PM and use Zeplin for the final mocks. For one of the initiatives that he had designed which we launched, the GM of the business unit especially praised his work and a significant upgrade to the seller experience.
All in all, it was great to have had Ravi’s support for our initiatives.
I brought Ravi in to help us transition the UX of a complex inventory management system from an internal tool to a user-friendly self-service platform for 3rd party merchants.
This initiative had many moving pieces from simplifying onboarding, to improving inventory management and content workflows and transitioning groups of resellers over to self-service, with the right reporting capabilities to empower them to be successful.
Ravi did an amazing job with all these complex challenges working with partners across multiple geographies/timezones while keeping the various sub-projects on schedule while engaging with multiple partner and stakeholder teams while working remotely.
Ravi not only delivered on the requirements of these efforts but pushed the teams to consider best practice approaches while offering multiple solutions to our UX challenges framed as clear and easy-to-understand tradeoffs.
He was able to leverage our existing style guides effectively to own the end-to-end UX development from concept to final specifications. Ravi is a self-starter with solid instincts and was able to get up to speed very quickly.
I wouldn’t hesitate to work with him again, and recommend you consider him for your next UX project!
Ravikumar’s designs are clean, modern, and usable (website, mobile, iPad, tablet). When required he can do UI code as well (HTML, CSS, Accessibility 508, Cross browser compatibility).
Overall he is a complete package for User Interface design and development.
