Project Background
Groupon Gateway portal team owns an external portal for contracts purchase orders cutting jobs called SIWP (Smart Inventory Web Portal) with salesforce integration. Business wants to merge these external PO cutting portal features into gateway portals with better user experience with automotive feature expansion.
Business Vision and Goal
To merge an automatic PO CUTTING and REPLENISHMENT system that focuses on the below
Identify the right product/SKU:
We need to have the right levers that allow us to identify the right deals that need to be procured in-house.
Procure in the right quantity:
Identify the right quantity that needs to be stocked in the Groupon 3PL network.
Procure at the right price:
This should be less than the break-even price, considering the additional cost of maintaining and fulfilling the inventory.
Just-in-time inventory:
Procure inventory just in time to avoid additional costs associated with inventory storage and maintenance.
Reduce deal onboarding cycle Time:
Reduce the overall cycle time it takes from Deal identification until the deal lives by reducing the manual steps.
Aged Inventory:
Systematically identify the aged/ inventory by proposing Liquidation and Return to Vendor.
Detailed User Flow
Based on design workshop with team, further enhanced individual feature flow in detail.

New Features
Ability to manually cut PO against Contracted or Live Procurement deals.
After PO is cut, email is triggered to the vendor as per the contact information on Contract.
PO Cutting against Pre-Buy and Consignment Deals.
PO Cutting limited to max approved quantity on Contract or Open Contract.
PO ship by date to be manually captured but cannot be in the past.
PO Cost price to be captured from the Contract.
PO max order qty allowed will be less than or equal to option cap on contract – net qty ordered (Open Contracts concept)
